MARCH LETTER FROM OUR CLUB
PRESIDENT DAN FARWELL, W8EQA:

Dear Friends:
The last DARC meeting featured Bart Anderson at our new location. Many thanks to Bart for his enthralling presentation and to Gary Zabriskie for his efforts in getting us into the new location.
We had two people take our VE exam this month: Dave Owens KD7VNH upgraded by passing his Morse Code requirement for Tech plus and Julia Braten (daughter of Clark Braten WI7G) is now KD7ZRR. Congratulations from everyone at the DARC!
We are working on the club roster that will be displayed on our website. This will include current and past members and has been requested by the membership for some time. Please use the link to the webmaster for corrections or to Dan Farwell w8eqa@infowest.com We will not post your e-mail address unless you give implicit permission to do so.
The Dixie College "Great Race" will be held on April 2, 2004 Friday evening and they have requested our help. I will have a sign up sheet and information available at the next meeting.
There will be a bicycle race in Warner Valley on Saturday March 27, 2004 sponsored by the Red Rock Bicycle Shop.
They had a tough time last year trying to use FRS radios and have also asked for our assistance. If you'd like to be involved sign up at the March 17th DARC meeting. I will have maps and information then.
We are working on an annual calendar of events to display on our website. This will be helpful to keep us informed about upcoming club events and hamfests.
I'm working with local officials, business owners and administrators at Dixie College to get a calendar prepared so these events can be planned further in advance!
Many thanks to Travis Lofthouse who has volunteered to coordinate and oversee the DARC involvement in this years St. George Marathon (their 28th year!).
73, Dan W8EQA
