GUEST CORRESPONDENCE
ECHO IRLP
By Walt May, KA7STK
Hi-
Thought would let you know that I finally have EchoIRLP on one computer
now (IRLP-3310) (KA7STK-L) is the echolink part of it (when I have
it turned on). Dean Cox has been evidently working on his IRLP-
3575 that is always on 146.91- (our local repeater) but doesn't appear
to be completed yet. I also set up a conference on my new windows
computer in town for EchoLink only, node 88660 (KA7STK-R) which you may
be able each Sunday nite ( if I connect it to Dean's EchoIRLP that is
on 146.91-) come into the club net with EchoLink (you will have to
connect up with the conference EchoLink, KA7STK-R). I dont
think Dean has his completed yet so I will use KB6EVD-L (MY MOM'S) to
tie the KA7STK-R to 146.91- tonight just prior to the 8 pm
net to see how it works. You might sign in at the end of the net
and see if anything works. If Dean had his EchoIRLP up and going, and
if I hadn't prior to the net connected my KA7STK-R to his node, you
could check into the net (or into 146.91 anytime during the day) by
connecting to IRLP - 3575, HOWEVER, if you connected to this node via
IRLP, it would only let the first person connected be the only one that
could use it- that is why I have planned to connect my Echo conference
to it prior to net so several of you could connect to the net. My kpc3+
on web hill (node DIXIE) will also let you connect to TELPAC by
connecting to KA7STK-10, and it will also accept any APRS/gps unproto
packets from trackers sent to RELAY and pass them into the internet
(also on 145.01). Just playing around! 73s, Walt
KA7STK
