Our next DARC meeting will be on Wednesday September 18, 2002

At 7:00 PM at the Old Harmon’s Store (55 S. 900 E.)

There will be talk-in assistance on 146.91- to help you find the club site if you’re not sure.

The St. George Senior Games will be held this October 8 & 11, 2002.

The club has been asked to help with communications for the hill climb at Snow Canyon on Tuesday October 8^th (9 AM –noon).

Also for the main bicycle race scheduled for Friday, October 11^th from 9 AM until 3 PM . We need 3 operators for the hill climb and about 6 for the bicycle race. Please call Ron Sappington at 673-4552.

The St. George Marathon will be held on Saturday, October 5^th, 2002.

The DARC will again be assisting this event with radio communication.

Flying Horse Callbook throwing in the towel:

In 1997 the Flying Horse Callbook ceased to print their publication and went to a CD ROM format only. As of 2003 the Callbook will call it quits citing rising costs and availability of the FCC database online as limiting their sales. Callsign information is also available free at the Buckmaster and QRZ websites.
