  AUGUST LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

This was ONLY a FEW years ago wasn't it Dan?

DAN FARWELL, W8EQA

DEAR DARC MEMBERS:

Please come to the September meeting to discuss the St. George marathon and our participation in this annual event. This is one of the most visible exercises that the Dixie Amateur Radio Club participates in each year. As always, we have need for many volunteers and "helpers" to make this a success.

I will be coordinating the ham radio support for the Huntsman's World Senior Games. There are some openings in all of these Huntsman's events:

Oct. 6, 2004 (Monday):
10K Road Race (Snow Canyon)

October 7, 2004 (Tuesday):
Hill Climb at Snow canyon Park

October 8, 2004 (Wednesday)
Time Trial- Enterprise

October 10, 2004 (Friday)
Road Race- Ivins

October 11, 2004 (Saturday)
Triathlon- Ivins

I'm in the process of making out a list of operators for the Huntsman's World Senior games (Beginning October 6th).
We greatly appreciate all those who helped last year and we will look forward to your involvement beginning on October 6, 2004.

If you can help please respond to me with the events you can help with and your "T" shirt size (ASAP).
