Everyone is welcome to join the Dixie Amateur Radio Club, Inc. It does not matter whether you are a licensed Radio Amateur, or not. An genuine interest in Amateur Radio is the only pre-requisite.
Club Membership Dues
INDIVIDUALS: Dues for an individual are $20.00 and are paid at any time. Your dues are good for a period of 12 months from the month you join the Club. See the Club Bylaws for more information (use the "Club Bylaws" navigation link button at the bottom of any page).
FAMILIES: A special Family Rate is available that is currently $25.00 per multiple-ham family.
You can check the status of your membership by clicking on the "Membership Roster" navigation link button at the bottom of any page.
If you have not paid your dues for the current year, please do so!
DARC Membership Application Form
Please CLICK HERE to download a Dixie Amateur Radio Club Membership Application Form (it is a PDF file).
Print it out and fill in the form.
The form should be filled out and and mailed to the Club (see the form or below) or can be brought to the next Club Meeting.
If you are planning on joining the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) then be sure to read the information below.
The League has implemented a program in which our Club can benefit financially if you join ARRL through the Dixie Amateur Radio Club. Please see the details of that important program below.
If I want to mail a check, where do I send my Club Membership dues to?
Please complete the form(s), and mail them to the Club along with a check in the required amount, made payable to:
"DARC, Inc." or "Dixie Amateur Radio Club, Inc."
Please mail to the Club's post office box address:
Dixie Amateur Radio Club, Inc.
P.O. Box 2196
St. George, Utah 84771-2196
Alternatively, you can bring your membership form(s) and dues payment (including cash - exact amount very much appreciated) to any monthly Club Meeting.
ARRL Membership Application Form
We also strongly encourage you to join and remain a member of the American Radio Relay League, Inc. (ARRL) "The National Organization for Amateur Radio".
Our Club is an ARRL Affiliated Club!
Please CLICK HERE to download an PDF file with the ARRL Membership Application Form. Print it out and fill it in.
IMPORTANT! If you join the ARRL by sending the application to our Club instead of directly to the ARRL, our Club will receive a special one-time-only deal.
You will still pay the regular $49.00 membership to ARRL (which includes all the member benefits as well as the monthly QST magazine journal periodical) but our Club is able to keep $15.00 of that "first-time" membership to ARRL.
You are joining a great national organization representing Amateur Radio throughout America and at the same time benefitting our local Club!
PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE!!! Make your check for your ARRL memberhip/renewal payable to "Dixie Amateur Radio Club" NOT to the ARRL! Our Club, in turn sends a Club check to the ARRL, minus the Club's retained $15.00 portion. Do NOT use the credit card portion of the ARRL form r the PayPal link above. We have no way of processing the ARRL information. Use personal checks only or bring cash (exact change) to the Club meeting.
Utah VHF Society Membership
Once you are done joining the Dixie Amateur Radio Club and the ARRL, please consider also joining the Utah VHF Society. The Utah VHF Society (UVHFS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1968 to promote and coordinate the installation and use of VHF/UHF amateur repeaters throughout Utah. The society also provides financial support for aligned repeaters and serves as the recognized Frequency Coordination entity for the state of Utah.
With your dues, please mention your callsign (if you are licensed). Dues are $12 per year. Membership runs for the calendar year, so all members (except those who have paid for multiple years) will be current through December 31 of the same year.
